The Sheltering Arms Community Programs and facilities will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 28th. We will reopen for normal business hours on Friday, November 29th, with the exception of our therapeutic pool and locker room areas at our Bon Air Center, which will temporarily close for renovations through mid-May 2025. Visit our Membership page below to add your name to the Membership waitlist. All fitness clients and Power Ex members will begin entering through the therapy entrance effective the 29th.

Adapt2Fit Program

ADAPT2FIT is a one-on-one service that offers a holistic approach and versatile exercise programming to meet many needs, regardless of function and diagnoses.

NeuroFit Program

NEUROFIT is an evidence-based fitness program, utilizing advanced technology, for clients with neurological conditions.

We collaborate with referring clinicians to ensure consistency in a client’s plan of care.

PowerEx Program

Power Ex is a semi-supervised exercise program designed to transition individuals to independent exercise in the community. Power Ex utilizes evidence-based health behavior change models related to physical activity and provides specific direction on formulation of goals.

Membership

Our memberships provide opportunities for independent exercise in an inclusive environment specific to our community needs.

Group Exercise Classes

Aquatic and land-based exercise classes focus on improving cardiorespiratory fitness and social engagement in a small to large group setting.

We offer a variety of aquatic, land-based, and diagnosis specific group exercise classes.

Wellness Education Programs

Understanding that you want to know more about your health and how it impacts your daily life, our clinical experts offer educational workshops on a regular basis.

All events are free to the community, however, advanced registration is required.

Club Rec - Day Program

A day recreation program for individuals with a disability or physical limitation who can benefit from supervised social, recreational and wellness activities. Recreation Therapists at Club Rec promote healthy living and help you adapt to life after illness or injury, with the goal of enhancing your quality of life.

A wide variety of structured and fun activities are offered.

Special Events

Recreation and social events provide opportunities for you to enjoy your favorite leisure interests, socialize with others and learn new activities and adaptations to maintain an active lifestyle.
