ADAPTIVE EXERCISE TRAINING is a one-on-one service that offers a holistic approach and versatile exercise programming to meet many needs, regardless of function and diagnoses. Exercise physiologists use expert knowledge in kinesiology, biomechanics and behavioral health models to tailor exercises and wellness education to meet the individual needs of people with temporary or chronic conditions, and/or physical disabilities.

    What is offered in AET?

    Our AET program includes a complementary 60-minute consult where a comprehensive medical history, physical assessment, and SMART goals are performed. AET is offered virtually and in person in our fitness centers and therapeutic pool. Appointments are 45-minutes in duration. Pay per session and package options are available.

    What needs does AET meet?

    • Provide exercise to those who cannot provide it for themselves and that equally can not be    provided by a caregiver
    • Specific functional improvement goals
    • Addresses episodic care and maintenance of chronic conditions
    • Individuals who require or prefer consistent motivation and instruction
    • Maintain function achieved through therapy services and slow disease progression
    • Monitoring of vital signs, physical, and cognitive responses to exercise
    • Healthy eating habits, weight management, and general nutrition education
    • Individuals who require assistance or supervision during various movement patterns, transfers, and safe   use of fitness equipment
    • Individuals who require moderate to stand by assist with functional mobility and,
       therapeutic exercises.
