Power Ex is a semi-supervised exercise program designed to transition individuals to independent exercise in the community. Power Ex utilizes evidence-based health behavior change models related to physical activity and provides specific direction on formulation of goals. EPs implement motivational interviewing and coaching techniques and problem solve through barriers to design exercise programs and provide education on proper exercise form, technique, equipment and progression

What is offered in Power Ex?

Power Ex offers a 12-week exercise program combining independent and exercise physiologist led sessions. Power Ex includes a 90-minute initial assessment and 60-minute exit assessment. Exercise physiologist led sessions are 30-minutes in duration and offered biweekly or weekly depending upon program selection. Power Ex members receive access to our therapeutic pool and fitness centers.

• Recommended for individuals in their preparation, action, and maintenance phases of behavior change

• Individuals who are independent or require contact guard to stand by assist, from a caregiver,
   with functional mobility and therapeutic exercises.
